About The Position

Florida Design Works is the industry sales leader in flooring, designer tile, custom cabinetry, and stone countertops serving the community for over 55 years. Our beautiful Naples showroom is looking for an experienced sales pro to add to our dynamic team. As a Showroom Sales Associate, you will be the face of Florida Design Works for all customers and design professionals visiting our showroom, taking them through the design and selection process for their next remodeling or building project to source the perfect floor, backsplash, accent wall, pool tile and more.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of sales experience in an inside sales or high-end retail setting --Tile sales experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills including email, Microsoft Office, SAP, customer account databases, and iPad
  • Proficient with 20/20, Sketch Up, computer visualization, and free hand sketching is preferred
  • Strong, professional English communication skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
  • A passion for design, home trends, and a general knowledge of the installation process for tile
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, self-driven environment and being held to performance standards
  • Ability to learn new skills and information quickly including product knowledge, computer systems, and job-related technology
  • Legally authorized to work for any US employer

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients upon entering the showroom, assess their project needs, and guide them through tile selections.
  • Collaborate with trade partners—such as general contractors, tile installers, builders, remodelers, and interior designers—to assist their referred clients in material selection.
  • Prepare detailed selection sheets, provide product samples, and follow up to finalize selections and generate quotes.
  • Utilize SAP software to create accurate quotes and sales orders, coordinating with purchasing for non-standard items.
  • Manage sales orders from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Act as an extension of our trade partners, ensuring their clients receive top-tier service and product recommendations.
  • Maintain open communication with trade professionals to coordinate project timelines and delivery schedules.
  • Follow up post-project completion to gather feedback and explore opportunities for future collaborations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing showroom environment.
  • Assist in updating displays, setting up new samples, and removing discontinued products.
  • Stay informed about current design trends and new product offerings to provide up-to-date advice to clients.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams, ensuring all client and partner communications are addressed.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership on merchandising strategies and showroom layout improvements.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
