About The Position

As an In House Legal Counsel, you will provide support to Sirio’s global operations, including its manufacturing sites, sales teams, and consumer product divisions. This role will provide legal guidance across a broad range of matters, including contracts, compliance, HR, disputes, and M&A. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California Bar Association.
  • Minimum of [5-8] years of legal experience, preferably in-house within the manufacturing, life sciences, or consumer goods sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, commercial contracts, intellectual property, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
  • Strong understanding of commercial contracts, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience supporting international operations and cross-border transactions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global, matrixed organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Chinese (Mandarin) conversational speaking a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support corporate governance activities, including entity formation, maintenance, and regulatory filings.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international corporate laws and regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including supply, manufacturing, distribution, and service contracts.
  • Maintain contract templates and support contract lifecycle management processes.
  • Manage and coordinate responses to legal disputes, claims, and investigations.
  • Liaise with external counsel and internal stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Monitor and advise on compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on legal and regulatory topics.
  • Support IP strategy, including trademark registration, licensing, and protection of proprietary technologies.
  • Coordinate with external IP counsel as needed.
  • Advise on employment law matters including hiring, terminations, disciplinary actions, and workplace policies.
  • Support HR in managing employee relations and ensuring compliance with labor laws across jurisdictions.
  • Provide legal support for M&A transactions, including due diligence, contract negotiation, and post-deal integration.
  • Assist in evaluating legal risks and structuring deals.
