In-Home Support Counselor
About The Position
Support Counselor $18.50/hour. We are looking for dedicated and caring people to work with adult aged individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities. We help the individuals we support become the fullest versions of themselves through the values of inclusion, independence, and freedom of choice. A Day in the Life of a Support Counselor: As a support counselor you will be working with individuals who live in a home or an apartment assisting them with daily living skills. Our support counselors work with our individuals in teaching them all the things that can help them lead a more independent life You would work in tandem with the individual and our in-home supports team to help those we serve learn the skills they need to help care for themselves. You will help the people we support gain more independence, confidence and pride in being able to do things for themselves.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or its equivalent
- A valid driver's license
- Compassion and ability to see the potential in everyone
- Positivity and a team-player attitude
Responsibilities
