About The Position

As an In-Home Kitchen Planner, initiating the kitchen planning process to create tailored design solutions, you will accurately measure, interpret, and draw out installation space and upload the data in a timely manner, and within the IKEA requirements using IKEA technology. You will review the layout of the kitchen and all project paperwork with the customer to ensure all components are correct and all measurements are accurate. Utilizing measurement and construction skills, combined with expertise in modular furniture planning and foundational design principles, you will create tailored solutions that meet customers' needs. You will also review appliance, electrical and plumbing locations to ensure they are captured on the measurement documents, resolve customer concerns with empathy, and promote the service that fits best. Additionally, you will understand the store and department action plans and actively contribute to achieving your department's goals. Utilizing in-depth knowledge of IKEA's products, services, and multi-channel solutions, you will ensure customers can shop conveniently, whether in-store or remotely, whenever and however they prefer. You will promote the IKEA commercial priorities by securing high quality services, in a cost and time effective way both in the home and in the store, and contribute to an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Vocational Tech education, wood shop classes experience welcome.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Space layout experience preferred.
  • Previous measuring experience preferred.
  • Customer service and sales experience.
  • Experience with computer technology (Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and others).
