About The Position

The In-Home Hospice Registered Nurse Lead (RN) supports the In-Home Hospice Manager by providing oversight, guidance, and clinical supervision to the in-home hospice nursing teams, including Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants, as assigned. The RN Lead provides a broad range of clinical support, including patient admissions, comprehensive assessments, visits, triage, intake, and informational sessions. This allows the RN Lead to support the team across all phases of hospice care delivery and ensure continuity in services. The RN Lead participates in the clinical on-call rotations and is prepared to respond to emerging clinical needs and provides oversight in the absence of a Nursing Manager. This role ensures care delivery remains patient and family-centered, aligned with hospice philosophy, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and agency standards.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.
  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Washington.
  • Certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Safety (BLS)
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance.
  • Driving is an essential function of this role; must be able to independently drive throughout Tri-Cities Chaplaincy’s service area to provide care in homes, facilities, and community settings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Moderate computer proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Available to participate in the on-call clinical supervisor rotation, including a minimum of two holiday shifts per year.
  • This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, which includes cannabis testing in Washington State
