About The Position

Youth Villages is a nonprofit organization striving to help troubled youth and families live successfully. We are a team of 4,000 individuals who’ve come together across 26 states to change the landscape of child welfare and juvenile justice across the country. Our work involves providing an array of counseling and treatment services to youth with severe emotional and behavioral problems. Eighty-four percent of those who go through treatment are succeeding two years after leaving our program. These youth are living at home, remaining in school, and are not experiencing trouble with the law. We believe strongly in investing in and supporting our employees. Requirements

• Master's degree in a social services discipline is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline is required
• At least 1 year of related experience in counseling and/or case management is required
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written, verbal, and oral skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of 5-6 families
• Provide individual therapeutic treatment interventions for assigned caseloads and provide ongoing assessment and review
• Meet with families minimum of 3x per week
• Conduct on-going assessment of the clients needs from a strength focused, solution based perspective
• Provide on-call crisis support to youth and families utilizing a rotating on-call schedule
• Collaborate with other community members working toward the success of the youth; that could be attending court or meeting with teachers
• Attend 3 weekly meetings (individual, team, and clinical consultation) for professional development to help enhance clinical skills
