About The Position
Excellacare Home Health Care is seeking a dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide personalized care to clients in the Ann Arbor area. This part-time position requires a commitment of 24 hours per week, specifically on Thursdays from 3:30 PM to 10:30 PM. The caregiver will be responsible for assisting a client who is vent and trach dependent, utilizing a Hoyer lift for mobility. While CNA certification is preferred, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate will have a caregiving mentality and a passion for helping others, particularly those in need of support in their homes. This role offers the opportunity to develop a meaningful relationship with the client, ensuring their comfort and well-being in a familiar environment. The caregiver will perform a variety of tasks including personal care such as bathing and dressing, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and running errands. Monitoring and reporting any changes in the client's health status is also a critical responsibility. The position is designed for individuals who are compassionate, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills. Caregivers will have access to a 24/7 on-call phone number for emergencies and support from a nursing supervisor, ensuring that they are never alone in their caregiving duties. This role is particularly suited for cat lovers, as the client has a pet cat, adding a warm and friendly dynamic to the caregiving experience.
