Requirements

  • Previous experience in home and community care, assisted living, nursing homes, hospice, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
  • Candidates with experience in patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication assistance, dementia care, autism support, or social work will find this role well aligned with their skills.
  • Training will be provided as needed—what matters most is a compassionate attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
  • Observe clients and monitor vital signs as required
  • Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA guidelines
  • Prepare nutritious meals based on individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment through light housekeeping and sanitation
  • Safely use assistive equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts during transfers
  • Document client progress and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance mental and emotional well-being
  • Follow established care plans for clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other memory-related conditions
  • Assist with transportation to medical appointments or community activities as needed
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including CPR and First Aid procedures
