Requirements
- Previous experience in home and community care, assisted living, nursing homes, hospice, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
- Candidates with experience in patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication assistance, dementia care, autism support, or social work will find this role well aligned with their skills.
- Training will be provided as needed—what matters most is a compassionate attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Observe clients and monitor vital signs as required
- Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA guidelines
- Prepare nutritious meals based on individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment through light housekeeping and sanitation
- Safely use assistive equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts during transfers
- Document client progress and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance mental and emotional well-being
- Follow established care plans for clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other memory-related conditions
- Assist with transportation to medical appointments or community activities as needed
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including CPR and First Aid procedures
