About the position

The Home Caregiver position at IGH Homecare & Concierge Solutions involves providing essential support and care to clients in their homes. The role focuses on assisting clients with daily living activities, promoting their independence, and ensuring a safe and clean environment. Caregivers are expected to maintain accurate records, encourage social interaction, and respond to client needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transferring.
• Encourage clients to perform as much of their own care as possible.
• Assist in meal preparation and encourage proper diet and hydration.
• Initiate and participate in leisure activities and encourage socialization among clients.
• Maintain daily records in accordance with company policy, documenting medication distribution, leisure activities, and any changes in clients' conditions.
• Provide medication reminders and assist clients with self-administration of medication as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for clients.
• Respond promptly to client requests for assistance and follow emergency procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional or personal experience as a caregiver.
• Valid in-state driver's license with current registration and insurance, and a clean driving record.
• CPR certification within 6-12 months of hire.

Nice-to-haves

• BLS Certification preferred.
