About The Position
We are urgently hiring Caregivers for Garland, Lavon, Rockwall, Rowlett, Sachse, Wylie, and surrounding areas. Caregiver duties and responsibilities can include but are not limited to assisting with personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene. Caregivers will also be responsible for basic food preparation, including preparing meals, cooking, and grocery shopping. General health care responsibilities include overseeing medication and prescription usage, managing doctor appointments, providing medication reminders, and encouraging exercise. Mobility assistance is also a key duty, which involves helping clients with ambulation and transferring, including getting in and out of a wheelchair, car, or shower. Personal supervision is essential, providing constant companionship and general supervision to clients. Caregivers will also provide transportation to and from appointments, run errands, and assist clients in getting in and out of wheelchair-accessible vehicles. Emotional support is a critical aspect of the role, as caregivers must be stable companions and supporters in all personal, health-related, and emotional matters. Additionally, caregivers will care for the elderly, including those with Alzheimer’s disease or other types of Dementia, while relaying information from doctors to family members. Back-up care services will be provided to give other family or professional caregivers a break from daily responsibilities. Home organization tasks may include helping with organizing, packing, cleaning for trips, light housekeeping, and laundry. Health monitoring is also part of the role, which involves following care plans and noticing any changes in the individual’s health, as well as recording and reporting any differences.
