About The Position
The Instructional Assistant 4 - Pre-Employment Transition Specialist works collaboratively with students aged 16-21 to facilitate their transition from school to meaningful employment or career-related post-secondary training. This role involves providing Individual Education Plan (IEP) designated services and Vocational Rehabilitation Pre-Employment Transition services (Pre-ETS). The specialist coordinates with Vocational Rehabilitation to deliver pre-employment services aimed at helping students identify career interests and prepare for future employment opportunities. The position requires the specialist to assist students in various areas including self-advocacy, job exploration, postsecondary counseling, work learning experiences, and workplace readiness skills. The specialist will also provide both special education services on behalf of the district and enhancement Pre-ETS services as a contractor for Vocational Rehabilitation.
