IMS Budget Specialist I Drive Financial Precision in Clinical Trial Delivery Syneos Health is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven IMS Budget Specialist I to support the financial backbone of global clinical trials. In this role, you will serve as a key operational partner, ensuring that investigator payments, contract budgets, and financial systems are aligned, accurate, and inspection-ready. What You Will Lead & Support: Contract & Budget Interpretation Analyze and interpret payment terms within fully executed Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs). Translate contract language into accurate and compliant site budget structures within CTMS. Ensure alignment between negotiated contract budgets and system templates. Financial System Accuracy & Data Integrity Input and validate site budget costs within the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS). Perform quality control reviews of cost structures to ensure precision and compliance. Maintain and update contractual budget records and financial setup details within enterprise systems. Reconcile payment data and support reporting accuracy across multiple platforms. Payment Strategy & Issue Resolution Serve as a subject matter resource to project teams on contract interpretation and investigator payment strategies. Proactively contribute to Investigator Payment Planning (IPP) meetings, supporting strategic payment setup for new studies. Assist in resolving payment setup discrepancies and operational challenges. Ensure vendor financial account information and required tax documentation are complete and compliant. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Operations, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure seamless budget implementation. Support multi-study environments while maintaining high attention to detail and deadline adherence. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong Excel proficiency, including data manipulation and reconciliation.
  • Experience with reporting, financial data handling, and budget tracking.
  • Ability to interpret contractual payment language and apply it accurately within financial systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational discipline.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to manage mul tiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
