About The Position

The Import Operations Specialist is responsible for managing day to day operations, communications, and processes related to air and ocean import shipments, customs brokerage, and domestic cargo. Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of processing both air and ocean import shipments
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with CargoWise system software

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 tools

Responsibilities

  • Open operation files for import shipments
  • Monitor and manage all assigned shipments until completion
  • Daily communications with customers, overseas offices/agents, local partners, and service providers
  • Ensure accurate customer billing and agent invoicing
  • Handle quotation requests from operational partners and agents and respond within a timely manner and depending on regional responsibility
  • Work with our overseas offices/agents to resolve any issues
  • Review standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with government regulations
  • Ensures that highest level of data quality and integrity by processing shipment accurately
  • Report anomalies in operations and new customer requirements to management for decisions on additional service requirements
  • Other duties as assigned by management
