About The Position

As an Import Logistics Supervisor, the primary function of this position is to oversee daily logistics operations while optimizing transportation costs and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The Import Logistics Supervisor is also responsible for leading a logistics team and driving process enhancements through the CITY Furniture Operating System (CFOS). Your contributions will ensure the success of the Supply Chain team within the Merchandising department at CITY Furniture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience in relevant field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with US Customs documentation required.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.)
  • Google Suite (i.e. Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, coach and develop direct reports.
  • Conduct individual and team meetings, manage time, attendance, and performance.
  • Delegate responsibility for projects assigned.
  • Oversee execution of transportation plans.
  • Oversee management of carrier accounts.
  • Prepare carrier performance metrics, and identify/implement cost-saving opportunities across the logistics network.
  • Enhance supplier/carrier relationships through regular meetings and reporting.
  • Lead projects to deploy logistics tools and structure using the CITY Furniture Operating System (CFOS) and ensuring alignment with operational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Operations, and Accounting to optimize logistics processes and address delivery challenges.
  • Adhere to all assigned Standard Work and Role and Responsibilities for your role.
