About The Position

Red Wing Shoe Company is seeking a full-time employee to facilitate the import and export transportation of finished goods and raw materials across international borders. The position is based in Red Wing, Minnesota, and involves ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs Border and Protection Laws and Regulations, as well as corporate policies. The role requires coordination with various stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods to warehouses in the United States, Canada, Netherlands, Japan, and the Middle East. The employee will also be responsible for generating and tracking international documentation, determining classifications and duty rates, and managing relationships with logistics providers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Two to five years related experience/training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to U.S. Customs Border and Protection Laws and Regulations.
  • Arrange and ensure delivery performance to all warehouses located in the United States, Canada, Netherlands, Japan, and the Middle East.
  • Generate and track all international documentation to ensure compliance with U.S. Government Export/Import regulations.
  • Determine and disseminate Schedule B and HTS Classifications, duty rates, marking and documentation requirements.
  • Prepare and/or review customs entries and import documentation for various countries.
  • Ensure compliance with USMCA, CAFTA, and other trade agreements.
  • Provide tracking information to Customer Service and expediting reports to warehouse personnel.
  • Manage and monitor the performance of international carriers and logistics providers.
  • Negotiate rates with carriers to obtain the lowest rates with high quality of service.
  • Provide support and back-up in the area of Free Trade Zone processing.
