The Import/Export Logistics Specialist will manage the inbound parts imports - shipments from Daifuku Japan and other offshore vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree desired, but not required.
  • Formal or informal training in international logistics a plus.
  • Experience with tariff classification, including industrial machinery & electronics, structural steel articles, structural aluminum articles, articles of plastic, and articles of rubber.
  • Experience with international freight forwarding and Customs transactions.
  • Experience with/training on the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) and CBSA Accounting/Resource Management (CARM) system in Canada.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Word documents, AdobePro (PDF editing), Microsoft Access (preferred).
  • SAP (enterprise resource management systems) training a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Military experience highly valued; any MOS, AFSC or NEC welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Daily manage the inbound parts imports - shipments from Daifuku Japan and other offshore vendors.
  • Coordination with internal departments on international logistics and international trade compliance to ensure shipments arrive as needed, clear customs and flow through the system.
  • Become the main point of contact for external Customs Brokers/Carriage Brokers/Freight Forwarders and logistics providers on Daifuku Intralogistics America Parts imports.
  • Weekly/Monthly management of parts exported to Canada, Mexico and beyond, including AES filings either direct on ACE or through a Customs broker.
  • Check with internal Trade Compliance personnel and/or external Legal Trade representative on the need for export licensure of any items appearing on the Commerce Control List.
  • Collaboration with engineers & project personnel on longer Initial Spares Lists requiring functional detail.
  • Working to ensure Daifuku Intralogistics does its due diligence and colors within-the-lines on any/all regulatory Trade Compliance.
  • Track and manage customer spare parts orders from order notice to delivery.
  • Track and manage Work-In-Process Parts from order notice to delivery.
  • Track and manage emergency replacement parts from order notice to delivery.
  • Track and manage domestic and offshore AS/RS System Upgrades with International parts content.
