About The Position

Essential Job Functions Compile and prepare commercial regulatory documents for entry processing Coordinate and confirm release while operation in compliance of US customs regulations, Coordinate/assist the release of goods from the carrier, customs or other governmental agency examinations that may be required Respond to incoming communications from internal and external clients and where necessary resolve and escalate issues as needed. Communicate, and coordinate all customs clearance Respond to inquiries regarding status of shipments in transit; follow through on trace request as necessary. Supervise the preparation of the U.S. Customs Prepare customs entries and follow-up with the clearance process on all entries prepared Coordinate with independent service commitments of Crane's/CWTS clients are met and insure that compliant declarations are made to U.S. Customs and other Federal agencies regarding the classification and importation of cargo. Interface and facilitate partnership with Customs and other Federal agencies at the local level to ensure compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations as directed by the Import Manager. Monitor all import shipments to identify transactions approaching non-compliance based on client control, event control, or transactional data process and volume controls through U.S. Customs Clearance. Coordinate timely clearance and delivery of imported cargo based on company and client service commitment standards. Review and assess accuracy, verify country of origin/export, IOR, terms of sale and value to ensure that federal regulation requirements are achieved Stay up-to-date on all customs changes Communicate to internal and external clients on the facts surrounding transactions outside of controls and include cause, impact, and corrective action to develop improved controls and improved service. Oversee and manage professional development and productivity of staff members to ensure proper goals, training, professional development and project requirements are met. Personally coach, train and mentor direct reports and provide career development opportunities through training and utilization of Crane's LMS system. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three Years industry Experience
  • Minimum five years related experience
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Must have excellent client service skills
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Professional certification may be required in some areas.
