About The Position

The primary objective of this role is to support Destination Operations within the Import Logistics Department by proactively addressing challenges related to imported freight. This includes serving as a key liaison between our logistics partners, internal transportation teams, distribution center operations, inventory management, and merchandising partners. The role focuses on ensuring timely and complete delivery of freight to drive sales and operational efficiency.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Access, SharePoint, & Power BI
  • Proficiency in Windows-based programs
  • Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Merchandising, or equivalent relevant work experience (3 years)
  • 3 or more years of related experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Vendor Compliance, or in a Business Analyst capacity

Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve logistics-related issues as they arise, ensuring seamless operations across the supply chain.
  • Execute action-oriented and insight-based reporting, key business summaries, and ad hoc requests to meet business needs.
  • Provide guidance and counsel to logistics partners on Dollar Tree processes and related challenges.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes, including report navigation and ensuring adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop and manage carrier scorecards, identify performance gaps, and implement improvement plans or identify alternative providers.
  • Partner with stakeholders to roll out new initiatives and integrate them into current processes to enhance business outcomes.
  • Provide insights to leadership on supply chain opportunities that align with merchandising strategies to drive sales growth.
  • Utilize logistics data to offer comprehensive visibility into the status of purchase orders (POs) throughout their lifecycle within the network.
