The Project Manager at Sage HCM leads client projects from discovery to go-live, ensuring successful deployment of our HCM platform and consistently positive client experience. As a key member of the Professional Services team, you will manage multiple concurrent client implementations across HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent, and Time & Attendance modules-coordinating with Implementation Managers, Configuration Specialists, QA, and Developers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet each client's contractual scope, timeline, and expectations. Key Responsibilities• Manage full lifecycle delivery of HCM implementation projects following Criterion's Project Delivery Framework, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met on time and within scope. Act as the primary liaison for assigned clients-facilitating meetings, managing expectations, and maintaining strong relationships across executive, HR, and payroll stakeholders. Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project plans in project management tools, including dependencies, internal and client task assignments, and projected completion dates. Ensure all work aligns with the Statement of Work (SOW). Identify out-of-scope requests, manage change orders, and track additional service opportunities. Partner with internal team members to coordinate system setup activities, data validations, and integration testing. Oversee client readiness and migration activities from end to end Collaborate with internal and client technical teams on API or file-based integrations ensuring communication is timely and appropriately directed and aligned with the project timeline. Provide consistent communication to clients and internal stakeholders through weekly status calls, Project management dashboards, and executive summaries highlighting milestones, risks, and deliverable progress. Track actual project hours against allocated budgets, forecast completion, and maintain high utilization performance in line with Professional Services targets. Continuous Process Improvement: Recommend refinements to templates, documentation, and delivery workflows to improve consistency, efficiency, and client experience. Stay current on quarterly Sage HCM releases, new functionality, and integration capabilities for the purposes of directing further conversation and discussion as needed.

  • 5+ years of experience managing software implementation projects, preferably within HCM, Payroll, or ERP domains.
  • 2+ years in a dedicated project management role overseeing cross-functional delivery teams and client communication.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent client projects, balancing competing timelines while maintaining excellent communication and documentation.
  • Familiarity with data migration, integration coordination, and test cycle management processes in SaaS environments.
  • Experience with Project Management Tools (Project, Smartsheet, Asana, etc.) for scheduling, coordinating, communication, dashboards, and status tracking.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach to planning, scope management, and delivery assurance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead executive-level updates and facilitate complex discussions with clarity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Accounting/Finance, or Information Technology (PMP or Agile certification a plus).
  • Comfortable working in a client-facing, fast-paced SaaS environment that requires both independence and collaboration.
  • Limited travel required for onsite discovery or client events.
