Position Description Leads the planning and execution of assigned account implementations, as well as the ongoing monitoring of those accounts post‑implementation.

Requirements

  • Position requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, public relations, communications, or related field and five years of experience in group health, dental, and/or vision benefit implementations, customer service, project management, sales, or account management.
  • Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
  • Position requires knowledge of group dental contracts, summary plan and certificate language group eligibility file transfer process, claims processing system and subsystem capabilities is preferred; basic knowledge of dental terminology, dental procedures, and American Dental Association procedure codes; ability to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts; strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to identify and resolve complex problems using independent judgment.
  • Position also requires a well-maintained, UAW- assembled or CAW (Canadian Auto Workers)- assembled motor vehicle.
  • Position also requires the use of a well-maintained vehicle manufactured by Chrysler, Ford, or General Motors while acting as a representative of Delta Dental of Michigan externally.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates, recommends and oversees all facets of assigned group implementations, including systems, contract, summary, mailings, and special requests, while scheduling, planning, and managing assignments.
  • Works with the eligibility analyst to monitor eligibility testing and production loads.
  • Creates and executes project plans including timelines, communications, assignments, and risk.
  • Oversees accounts after implementation, including submitting changes and updates for groups.
  • Coordinates with legal counsel to determine contractual issues and keeps current with DDPA guidelines and rules.
  • Travels to group locations to develop relationships and participate in finalist meetings, initial implementation and post implementation meetings.
  • Works with groups to gather requirements and ensure smooth implementations.
  • May collaborate with Group Administration Implementation Specialist to ensure all implementation data input is accurate and documented.
  • Assists in activities relating to bids/Requests for Proposal, which may include full completion and identification of contract/benefit differences for dental and vision products.
  • Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above.
