About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company that is transforming the healthcare technology industry. As a Development Engineer, you’ll work as part of our implementation team and work closely with our engineering and client services teams to translate business requirements into design and then into working code that handles custom data formats, workflow, and rules. You’ll work with a top-tier engineering team building green solutions that power healthcare EDI transactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or similar languages.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including query writing.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), build tools (Maven, Gradle) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with Linux/Windows environments, Git, and Agile methodologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare transaction processing, X12 EDI, and clearinghouse operations.
  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office, and Teams.
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and Shift Left practices (e.g., TDD).
  • Experience with Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality, customer-centric solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Implement and support EDI application integrations to convert data to/from X12 EDI, XML, JSON, and proprietary formats.
  • Interface with Client Managers and Quality Assurance to ensure accurate delivery of project requirements and compliance with standards, code quality and accepted conventions.
  • Apply DevOps principles to manage and maintain implementation testing environments.
  • Participate in initiatives for test automation and CI/CD pipeline enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and implementation issues.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy standards (HIPAA/PHI/PII).
