As an Implementation Consultant, you will join our Professional Services team to deliver impactful solutions for our clients. You will lead the successful implementation of Itron’s AI-powered technology, helping utility companies create safer, more resilient communities. We are seeking an action-oriented professional who values collaboration and is committed to understanding client needs. In this role, you will partner directly with customers to define software requirements, build executive relationships, and ensure successful outcomes. You will also advocate for client needs internally, influencing product development and innovation. All members of our Team have a “Storm Role”. During large storms you’ll join others in supporting our core Support Team members to ensure our Utility Clients and their Contractors have a positive experience

Requirements

  • 0–4 years of experience in technology, engineering, or analytics-related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Integration, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with business analysis practices.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication abilities.
  • High degree of accountability and adaptability.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25–50%.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of APIs, SQL, JSON, databases, and general data technologies.
  • Experience with visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and ETL/data preparation tools.
  • Formal project management training or certification.
  • Background in the utility or energy sector.
  • Experience with field mobility applications.

Responsibilities

  • Become a subject matter expert on Itron’s products and understand how AI can drive outcomes in the utilities industry.
  • Build strong, trust-based client relationships through proactive communication and a collaborative approach.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery process, including project management, process definition, product requirements, user training, and issue resolution.
  • Perform customer data analysis and create insightful reports.
  • Configure Itron applications, including integration setup.
  • Develop and deliver customized training materials and “train-the-trainer” sessions for client teams.
  • Manage, triage, and troubleshoot user acceptance testing.
  • Clearly capture and communicate client needs to internal R&D teams (product, software engineering, machine learning) to influence product enhancements.
