Emp Status Regular Full time Work Shift Day (United States of America) Compensation Range The base pay scale for this position is $38.88 - $40.50. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
  • 3 years Inventory Handling/Distribution or Central Sterile Processing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight (20 to 50 lbs).
  • OSHA Category 1 Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, and other potentially infectious materials.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years in Materials Management OR Materials Management is highly desirable.
  • Orthopedic Central Sterile Processing

Responsibilities

  • Responds promptly to customer concerns with compassion and understanding, while promoting a professional atmosphere through courteous communication, cooperation, and mutual respect among staff and all members of the health care team.
  • Observes and respects the privacy and confidentiality of information in accordance with HIPAA policies and procedures.
  • Complies with policies and procedures concerning infection control and safety to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Maintains and develops competence through required in-service and continuing educational programs.
  • Effectively communicate with various departments and outside parties to disseminate and receive information as requested.
  • Complies with attendance and punctuality policy.
  • Adapts effectively to changing situations and work assignments, while managing time efficiently to meet the needs of patients, the department, and the Hospital.
  • Ensures all implant trays are properly re-stocked, dispenses implants to circulating nurses, and reconciles all implants used daily.
  • Re-orders supplies and implants based on established par levels and accurately records the receipt of all implant and surgical supplies using the department’s computer application.
  • Reviews next day's operative schedule
  • Maintains a neat and clean work environment while demonstrating effective organizational skills.
