The Impact Strategy & Analytics Intern will support McKesson’s Global Impact Organization (GIO) Impact Strategy & Operations team, diving deep into the world of Impact data strategies. You’ll get hands-on experience collecting and analyzing Impact data, and you’ll play a key role in supporting our disclosure efforts. This role involves conducting analyses, peer benchmarking, understanding trends and supporting external reporting strategies. You will assist in developing and strengthening our disclosure response processes, tracking and responding to information requests from investors, customers, and other stakeholders, and managing rating and ranking surveys. This role will also support select, key initiatives as a project manager.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree or equivalent relevant course work in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Environmental Policy, Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Statistics or related field
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel (high proficiency preferred)
  • Strong ability to conduct research and analyze data
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Power BI
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and documentation

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient with project management tools, such as Smartsheet
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and timelines at once
  • Familiarity with reporting frameworks like GRI, CDP, SASB, and TCFD is beneficial
  • Experience or coursework related to environmental responsibility & sustainability

Responsibilities

  • Data Collection : Assists in collecting data and supporting documentation for external and internal reporting needs.
  • Collaboration : Works with cross-functional partners across the organization to maintain a database of key data inputs needed to support external reporting, stakeholder request, and senior leadership/Board engagement
  • Survey Management: Help manage the completion of stakeholder rating/ranking surveys
  • Impact Report : Supports the disclosure strategy & reporting needs following the completion of McKesson’s annual Impact Report
  • Data Analysis : Compare and contrast data requirements for various stakeholder surveys. Identify data gaps, improve reporting, and recommend enhanced data collection processes.
  • Research and Benchmarking : Conduct research and peer benchmarking to support goal setting and strategic planning
  • Trend Monitoring: Monitor emerging issues and trends within the Impact landscape, reporting findings to leadership to help improve decision-making
  • Support Strategic Projects: Work on both tactical and strategic projects across different GIO business areas, including our Foundation, Environmental Responsibility, GIO Operations, Impact Innovation & Activation, and Inclusion & Belonging functions. Help drive progress toward McKesson’s Impact goals.
  • Project Documentation: Create and maintain essential project management and change management documents like business cases, project charters, project plans, comms plans, and change management plans to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Meeting Support: Document meeting minutes, track follow-ups, and execute next steps (and other supportive activities) to keep our initiatives on track
  • Be a Change Agent: Acts as a change agent and thought partner to drive operational developments
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the GIO and key extended partners as needed (e.g. Business Intelligence, Legal, HR, Finance)
