Requirements

• 7 years of experience in sustainable and high-performance building design.
• Broad knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices.
• Ability to creatively solve problems and identify barriers in design processes.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with net-zero and living building projects.
• Familiarity with building science and technical implementation.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Director of Integration and coordinate with HKS CEO and other executives to enhance design solutions.
• Function as part of the DesignGreen Team within the Innovation Sector.
• Engage with the HKS Strategic Leadership Team to identify opportunities and implement design thinking strategies.
• Advocate for a design culture that promotes exploration, curiosity, and continual improvement.
• Creatively engage project teams to select and use design methodologies for high-performance outcomes.
• Collaborate in project integrative processes and workshops to identify sustainable project goals.
• Identify barriers to integrating sustainability and resilience principles into design.
• Guide projects towards exemplary outcomes such as net-zero and ecologically regenerative designs.
• Coordinate technical needs with various HKS teams and resources.
