About The Position

Typical Accountabilities: • Acts as a regional expert on a group of drugs or a therapeutic area, supporting the delivery of an effective Field Medical Liaison service, potentially through managing a local team • Defines and delivers training on specific drugs or treatments for the sales teams or external users and purchasers • Contributes to establishing and implementing policies, procedures and objectives for own work and potentially for a team of experts • Maintains and develops relationships with healthcare professionals to ensure the Field Medical Liaison is meeting their information requirements • Accountable for specialised research or delivery of internal reports to enhance the effectiveness of sales professionals and healthcare practitioners within the local community • Ensures own knowledge of best practices and new relevant developments is kept up to date Typical People Management Responsibility (direct / indirect reports): • Approximate number of people managed in total (all levels) - 0-10 • Manager of a team Why AstraZeneca? Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or working towards a professional qualification
  • Thorough knowledge or experience of the pharmaceutical industry and the area of field medical liaisons
  • Ability to interact and manage a range of stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Knowledge of legislation relevant to pharmaceutical sales and marketing

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced scientific degree
  • Understanding of multiple aspects within Medical Liaisons
  • Project and team management experience
