About The Position

The Immunoglobulin (Ig) business plays a critical role in improving the lives of patients with for patients with primary immunodeficiencies, autoimmune diseases, and other rare diseases with four approved indications. With a focus on specialty care and infusion pharmacy, the Ig portfolio delivers life-saving therapies that require strategic oversight and innovation. The US Ig franchise is rapidly growing with a portfolio consisting of Panzyga, Octagam and Cutaquig. The portfolio requires a cohesive presence and continued demonstration of Pfizer’s commitment to the HCPs and patients these products serve. The Immunoglobulin Thought Leader Engagement Liaison (TLEL) will play a critical role by leading the development and execution of a best in class thought leader engagement plan for our Ig portfolio. This individual will create a first-class experience for Ig external stakeholders advising and engaging with Pfizer’s Ig team. The TLEL will be responsible for: establishing relationships; gathering insights on treatment patterns and habits; informing the development and execution of HCP and Patient commercial strategies/tactics; leading and supporting market planning for activities focused on the unique challenges of the local market or region. This role will partner closely with the Ig Marketing Lead, HCP and Consumer Marketing Team, Regional Business Directors, Sales, Medical, Market Access and Patient Affairs. This role will report to the Ig Portfolio Marketing Team Lead. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Ig market, demonstrate a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate externally with Key Thought/Opinion Leaders and internally with cross-functional partners, analyze strategic data to create a business plan to guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Requirements

  • BA/BS with 8+ years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Ig patient journey.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, medical affairs, strategy, new product launch, customer engagement or business development in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries and proven ability to build and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with key external and internal stakeholders, including key opinion leaders.
  • Proven leadership skills while working in cross functional and matrix environment, with an ability to lead by influence.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, including capabilities for uncovering deep customer insights, and assessing complex business/customer situations and translating insights into actionable plans.
  • Experience in the design, development and execution of opinion leader/local market engagement programs inclusive of tracking performance against goals and course correcting when needed.
  • Track record of working well across internal and external stakeholders to include Marketing, Sales, Medical, Payer Access and Patient Navigator roles.
  • Demonstrated creativity in development and partnership collaborations on innovative programs.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills- thinks & communicates with the audience's needs first (i.e. ad boards).

Nice To Haves

  • MBA/MS with 7+ years of experience; OR PhD or JD with 5+ years of experience.
  • Science or clinical background a plus.
  • 3+ years of Ig Customer Facing Experience (Med, Commercial).
  • Experience representing novel opportunities/brand plans to senior leadership.
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate internally and externally at all levels, develop and coach others, analyze strategic data and create a business plan, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
  • Frequent travel of 50% is required to include weekend and evening engagements with Congresses and Ad Boards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop, in partnership with key functions within the commercial team a One Pfizer approach that fully integrates Thought/Opinion Leader & key stakeholder engagement plans inclusive of physicians, KT/OLs, advanced practitioners, researchers, and patients to maximize the Ig Portfolio in the US.
  • Obtain therapeutic insights from Thought/Opinion Leaders within neurology, immunology, rheumatology, and dermatology and other key stakeholders to help advance commercial brand strategies.
  • Lead and direct insight-gathering from 1:1 engagements, small group meetings, and national and regional advisory boards for actionable commercial implementation.
  • Oversee the development of Thought/Opinion Leader and key stakeholder engagement metrics such as post-engagement evaluation forms, post-congress Thought/Opinion Leader / PFE meeting evaluations, and annual top-tier opinion leader industry benchmark survey.
  • Ensure Pfizer’s compliant contracting and FMV processes are triggered when initiating engagements with a Key Thought/Opinion Leaders on Pfizer’s behalf or addressing any requested rate changes appropriately.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date Ig Thought/Opinion Leader & Key Stakeholder list, and track engagements.
