About The Position

The Immigration Law Unit handles a variety of immigration cases, including deportation defense, family-based and humanitarian-based immigration benefits, T and U Visas, VAWA applications, and asylum matters. In addition to providing direct representation to clients before the Immigration Court and USCIS, the position requires preparing and delivering community education; conducting outreach; active bar participation; and special legal and community projects.

Requirements

• Member in good standing of the Florida Bar Association.
• 1 - 3 years of experience in Immigration law preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a large caseload in a stressful environment.
• Excellent written and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience serving low-income individuals, victims of crime, veterans, or other marginalized communities preferred.
• Ability to speak more than one language is a plus.

Responsibilities
