About The Position

An hour north of Denver and ideally situated between Boulder, Fort Collins, and Greeley, JBS is the largest company headquartered in Colorado, and one of the largest food companies in the world. We are seeking a motivated and proactive attorney to join our Immigration team, with a focus on immigration law and the talent and adaptability to handle a wide variety of complex immigration matters. As the Immigration Manager, the role will play a pivotal role in facilitating the seamless movement of our global talent and the immigration requirements and applications for our employees globally--ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies while delivering an exceptional experience for our employees and the business.

Requirements

  • An enthusiastic, highly motivated attorney with at least 3 years of experience and a solid record in immigration law.
  • JD Degree required.
  • Strong understanding of US immigration regulations and employment laws.
  • Possess the skill set to assess the eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status in the U.S.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of US immigration requirements, processes and case lifecycles - both IV and NIV.
  • Admission to a U.S. bar (Colorado preferred).
  • Proven experience with global immigration processes, including LATAM, EMEA and APAC knowledge and experience in international mobility practices.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and flexibility, and the ability to interface effectively with personnel at all levels throughout the Company.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications to the specific intended audience in a way that is clear, concise, and persuasive.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the US-based inbound immigration process, collaborating closely with business leaders and the HR Business Unit leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary liaison between external immigration attorneys, employees, managers and business leaders.
  • Provide day-to-day operational oversight across all aspects of the US immigration process, ensuring day-to-day execution of service commitments including rigorous quality controls and service enhancements.
  • Manage a diverse business immigration caseload, including but not limited to H-1B, L-1, E-2, E-3, TN, EB-1, EB-2, PERM, and other employment-based visa petitions.
  • Provide legal counsel and strategic guidance to business clients on all aspects of U.S. business immigration law.
  • Prepare and file immigration petitions, responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), and other legal documents to ensure efficient and timely processing.
  • Maintain accurate case records and provide regular communication to clients regarding case status.
  • Direct policy changes as needed in response to in-country immigration changes and business needs, ensuring Company policies stay relevant and business-strategy focused.
  • Manage budget planning and spend, tracking in real-time and forecasting annual immigration expenditures based on current volume and hiring trends.
  • Identify opportunities to use technology to streamline immigration processes.
  • Develop and utilize technological solutions to provide timely updates on cases and enhance tracking of visa applications and statuses, enabling proactive measures to achieve optimal immigration outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Base salary range of $130,000 - $150,000.
