About The Position

The Frager Law Firm is seeking a full-time Immigration Attorney to provide comprehensive legal services in immigration law, focusing on family-based immigration and removal proceedings. This role is ideal for recent law graduates or attorneys looking to develop expertise in immigration law, with responsibilities including representing clients in court, preparing legal documents, and managing a caseload.

Requirements

• JD degree (Internship or at least 1 year of work experience in immigration field is preferred)
• Active Bar license (in good standing) or waiting to take the Bar Exam
• Excellent research and writing skills
• Relocation to Memphis, TN is necessary (no relocation reimbursement)
• Spanish (both written and spoken) preferred
• Must be a team player

Nice To Haves

• Experience in immigration law
• Fluency in Spanish

Responsibilities

• Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court in Memphis (EOIR).
• Appear with individuals before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for family-based matters, adjustment of status, and naturalization interviews.
• Prepare asylum applications and represent clients at the Asylum Office for interviews.
• Handle client meetings and consultations.
• Draft briefs, motions, affidavits, letters, and responses to requests for evidence/notices of intent to deny.
• Meet deadlines and manage a large caseload.
• Comply with all legal and ethical standards, maintaining good standing with all Bar Associations.
• Work outside normal office hours as needed according to caseload.
