About The Position
The Grade 1 Teacher at Somerset Elementary School is responsible for creating and implementing engaging and effective learning experiences for students. Under the direction of the school principal, the teacher will foster an environment that supports the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of each student, ensuring that every child achieves success. This role involves supervising students in various school-related settings, monitoring their progress, and evaluating student outcomes to inform instructional practices. The teacher will communicate regularly with students, parents, staff, and the community to build strong relationships and support student learning. In addition to delivering instruction, the teacher will develop, select, and modify instructional plans and materials to cater to the diverse needs of all students. Maintaining accurate records and adhering to required procedures and practices is essential. The teacher will also be responsible for monitoring the appropriate use and care of educational equipment, materials, and facilities, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for all students.
