About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Steel Welder/Fabricator with a strong background in MIG welding and fabrication. The ideal candidate will have verifiable experience of 5-10 years in a full-time capacity, along with AWS weld certifications D.1.1. Candidates with a degree in welding or a certificate equivalent to 1 year of full-time experience will also be considered. This position requires a reliable individual who can work in a team environment and is willing to follow directions and adhere to safety protocols.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of full-time MIG welding and fabricating experience.
• AWS weld certifications D.1.1.
• Knowledge of industry terminology.
• Ability to read weld symbols and prints.
• Ability to accurately measure.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs regularly.
• Ability to stand for 90-100% of the day on concrete floors.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding and fabrication of structural steel.
• Read and interpret weld symbols and prints.
• Accurately measure materials and components.
• Follow verbal and written directions.
• Complete a weld and fabrication test during the interview process.
• Arrive at work on time and maintain a reliable attendance record.
• Work overtime as necessary, including early mornings and Saturday mornings.
• Provide own basic tools as listed during the interview.

Benefits

• Starting pay rate of $21.00-22.00/hr with a review after 90 days.
