About The Position

Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as a Security Systems Analyst at our Ingalls Memorial Hospital. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity. Job Summary Manages and administers the IMH Physical Security Systems including alarms, access controls and camera systems. Provides technical support and expertise regarding physical security system maintenance and expansion. Coordinates and manages contractors and software aspects of the IMH physical security systems technology team; schedules maintenance to ensure systems remain operational.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalent
  • Five (5) years of physical security operations experience, preferably in healthcare
  • One (1) year managing electronic access control systems, video surveillance systems and computer systems
  • Must comply with UChicago Medicine’s COVID-19 Vaccination requirement as a condition of employment. If you have already received the vaccination, you must provide proof as part of the pre-employment process. This is in addition to your compliance with the Flu Vaccination requirement as well. Medical and religious exemptions will be considered consistent with applicable law. Lastly, a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check are also required for all employees prior to hire.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and maintains IMH Physical Security Systems; ensures systems are functioning properly and troubleshoots problems.
  • Evaluates UCM security systems, performs physical security assessments and makes recommendations, including custom system design and placement of new equipment.
  • Independently designs, configures and implements security system recommendations within scope of authority. Recommends and submits larger projects for leadership approval.
  • Coordinates and schedules contractors for all physical security systems maintenance and expansion work performed.
  • Manages and provides technical support and troubleshooting for physical security electronic equipment, card readers, duress buttons, cameras, intrusion systems and other related devices.
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate and approved electronic access control levels are maintained at all times.
  • Extracts, analyzes and trends physical security system data. Provides statistical reports to leadership.
  • Review recorded video and export video footage as needed. Maintains confidentiality in sensitive investigations.
