About The Position
The Medical Assistant position at Inspira Health Network is a nonexempt role that encompasses a variety of clinical and clerical duties essential for supporting the healthcare team and ensuring quality patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical and supportive services to patients, providers, and staff. This includes greeting patients, verifying and updating patient insurance information, and performing specimen collection, injections, and vaccines. The Medical Assistant will also be tasked with entering relevant information into the state database, preparing for exams by completing vital signs, collecting patient history, and performing screening procedures as per provider guidelines. Additionally, the role involves relaying instructions to patients and assisting with specific practice procedures as needed. The Medical Assistant is required to adhere to the IMG workflow and guidelines, which includes participation in daily practice huddles. Flexibility is key, as the position may require covering other IMG offices based on staffing needs. A strong ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures is essential, along with maintaining a pleasant and professional demeanor while demonstrating passion and empathy in interactions with patients and colleagues. The candidate must also possess the ability to plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks in a timely manner, ensuring that all duties are performed efficiently and effectively.
