Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an approved program for specific field of study in Allied Health
  • Currently enrolled in an approved program for specific field of study
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
  • CPR
  • Radiation Safety
  • Up to 1 year experience

Responsibilities

  • Complies with infection prevention procedures, utilizing safety and reliability practices and standards, and upholds all other compliance protocols and practices.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and/or initiative in seeking or accepting additional assignments.
  • Supports team and department operations assisting with care of equipment, coordinating with technologists the flow of patients throughout the process.
  • Assists other team members when their assignment is slow, finds work to do in the department or flexes off if needed.
  • Works effectively with patients and families to provide patient care, schedules patient appointments, and performs patient observation, patient transport and assists patients with personal needs.
  • Recognizes status changes, calls for appropriate assistance, and notifies manager as appropriate.
  • Participates in ensuring reliable performance and assessment of equipment, performing required daily and monthly quality control procedures prior to use.
  • Recognizes the need for corrective action and notifies the Supervisor
