We're currently seeking a Imaging Tech Assistant to provide Patient Transportation. As an Imaging Tech Assistant/Patient Transporter, you'll provide a reassuring presence while escorting patients throughout our hospital to and from the Radiology Departent. Full Time Role - 40 Hours a Week - 7:30 am start 4- 10 hour shifts with one weekday off per week Rotating Holiday coverage Specific Shift Availability will be discussed during (Interview Days/Evening options) Involves Lots of Walking Across the Hospital Campus - 5 + miles per shift. Requires Direct Patient Interaction Partnership with BILD for Career Development and Growth CPR training is a plus Overview Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Role Purpose Responsible for performing routine duties in dealing with the daily operation of Radiology Services, including but not limited to patient transportation, radiographic film development and copying, stocking supplies and clerical duties.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules procedures, maintains medical record information, obtains prescriptions when necessary.
  • Escorts or transports patients to and from examination area, assists technologist with patient transfers to and from imaging tables, and assists patient as needed.
  • Maintains and ensures availability of supplies and equipment.
  • Follows up when necessary with outside films and calls in results.
