About The Position

Demonstrates through behavior Decatur Morgan Hospital's mission, vision and values. Under the direction of the Radiology Director, and Radiologist. Performs imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Operates CT / X-Ray Equipment to make quality Images / radiographs of designated body parts, utilizing the lowest possible radiation dose. Responsibilities include knowledge of all CT/Radiology procedures, proper patient positioning, exposures, Utilization of PACS, implementation of patient charges, and assists physicians as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an Accredited Diagnostic Imaging Program.
• ARRT in Radiology (CT preferred).
• ARRT(R) Required, ARRT(CT) preferred.
• BLS must be obtained during orientation period.
• Minimum of one-year clinical experience in direct patient care setting preferred.
• Requires proficiency at a technical level not requiring constant direct supervision in CT.
