Requirements

  • GED or high school diploma.
  • Clinical/Hospital/Managed Care Office Experience 1 year.
  • Medical/Diagnostic Imaging Experience 1 year preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in medical office/hospital/managed care business practices and processes.
  • Knowledgeable of imaging sciences, software and other processes and modalities.
  • Strong organizational and analysis skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Good computer skills and familiarity with general processing software and Electronic Health Record systems.
  • Excellent customer service, communication skills and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes daily workflow of images.
  • Assists hospital staff in the execution of their duties by acting as a resource person for timely, effective use of services, both in electronic and manual modalities.
  • Downloads images from other institutions into the Electronic Health Record system.
  • Routinely checks Electronic Health Record system to ensure that studies are flowing from the acquisition modalities and are properly routed to the review stations to assure a clinical continuity of service.
  • Initiates and follows through with tracking missing images to point of acquisition.
  • Documents transmission of images to Electronic Health Record system and follows through with notification of person.
  • Assist with administrative and clerical duties as needed.
  • Provides leadership and technical guidance to peers.
