Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking an IMAGING TEAM LEAD to join our Regional Radiology team! Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs quality diagnostic radiographic exams. Complies with performance measures and/or activities to assure patient/customer satisfaction results, clinical quality benchmarks, and operational financial targets are constantly maintained. Complies with and provides leadership in maintaining an environment which supports our philosophy and values. HOURS: Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every pay period. Varied shifts.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of radiology standards and procedures as they relate to diagnostic Radiologic procedures normally acquired through graduation from an approved radiology school with certificate, or associate degree in Radiology.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a technologist is necessary to enhance and develop skills.
  • State of Wisconsin Licensed Radiographer license, or in the process of obtaining.
  • Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable BLS training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.   • CT ARRT certification required or must be obtained within one year of hire.
  • Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress, to provide effective leadership for assigned personnel, and to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with various hospital departments.
  • Analytical skills are necessary in order to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of radiographic techniques and methods, to direct day to day operations and ensure efficient scheduling.
  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for approximately 75% of work time when operating equipment, manipulating, reproducing images and dealing with patient records.
