About The Position
The Imaging Support Specialist at the Women's Imaging Center is responsible for greeting all patients and visitors with a professional demeanor, accurately registering patients, and ensuring that accounts are up to date. The specialist will verify that the orders match the scheduled exams and address any discrepancies. Responsibilities include printing CDs requested by patients, physicians, and other healthcare facilities, answering phones, collecting copays, and registering patients for radiology procedures. The role also involves scheduling same-day and advanced radiology appointments, running reports and statistics as needed, and maintaining a satisfactory relationship between the radiology department and its clients. The position requires effective communication and multitasking skills, as well as the ability to triage calls using an overhead paging system.
