About The Position

We are seeking a(an) Imaging Student Extern PRN for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. The Imaging Student Extern delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care skills while gaining practical experience and knowledge in imaging principles. Under the supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist, the Imaging Student Extern prepares for and assists with x-ray procedures, in accordance with the Extern's skills/training and the needs of the Department. The Imaging Student Extern is currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of radiography and can perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of Radiography.
• 1 year of imaging education completed, or as mandated by state of practice.
• Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of delegated basic patient care skills.
• Assist with x-ray procedures under the supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist.
• Prepare for imaging procedures in accordance with skills/training and departmental needs.
