About The Position

The Summer Employment Opportunity Program (SEOP) provides temporary summer employment opportunities to children, step-children and spouses of Mayo Clinic employees enrolled in a college degree granting program of study, and is intended to help supervisors accommodate employee vacation requests when seasonal work volumes are high. Supports radiation therapy staff by coordinating patient flow and assisting with care delivery in the treatment area. Responsibilities include escorting patients to and from radiation therapy procedure rooms and preparing patients for radiation therapy procedures. Works closely with radiation therapists and nursing staff to ensure patient readiness, and timely treatment, communicates delays or schedule changes to appropriate team members, updates patient information in the electronic medical record, and helps maintain a safe, organized, and well‑stocked treatment environment.

Requirements

  • Must be a child, step-child, or spouse of a current Mayo Clinic employee.
  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree granting program.
  • Must be returning to college in the fall.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 10 weeks.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older by the start of the program
  • SEOP employees should not expect vacation/days-off to be approved during their commitment.
