About The Position

St. Mary’s is a 229-bed, acute care hospital located in Enid, OK. St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center has served the healthcare needs of northwest Oklahoma for more than 100 years. We host more than 125 highly skilled physicians offering specialties in Cardiology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine, Rehabilitation, Laboratory, Women’s Imaging, Wound Care, and more. The position involves performing mammographic procedures at a level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail, as well as performing quality assurance and quality control activities to meet MQSA, ACR accreditation and federal regulations.

Requirements

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or registry eligible.
• Must be registered within 3 months of employment and maintain registration.
• BLS required within six months of employment.
• American Cancer Society certification to teach BSE (breast self-examination) is preferred.
• Previous mammography experience required.
• Good written and verbal skills.
• Typing and basic computer skills required.
• Must successfully complete the pre-employment assessment.

Responsibilities

• Performs all mammography exams required by the department utilizing proper positioning and technical standards.
• Accurately identifies normal and pathological processes and distinguishes them from artifacts.
• Assures patient requisition is accurate and completed immediately upon exam.
• Provides physician with accurate patient history and technical impressions.
• Documents and records information required on films and requisitions.
