Visit us online at: https://www.nwths.com/careers Position: Imaging Service Engineer I Position Summary: Performs evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on Medical Imaging devices used in the diagnosis of patients at assigned UHS facilities.

Requirements

  • Technical school, 2 years of college, military or associate degree
  • Moderate experience with healthcare technology management programs
  • Moderate medical equipment knowledge (manufacturers, models, modalities, device types)
  • Moderate understanding of regulatory requirements of medical devices (CMS, TJC, NRC, State, Local)
  • Professional Certification preferred (CRES) and/or other professional certifications as deemed pertinent by the hiring director
  • Moderate computer skills (Microsoft products), some experience with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) products.
  • Local travel will be required periodically.
  • Ability to read and write English, interpret documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Comfortable communication with all levels of management and employees.
  • Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team. Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to respond to pages, telephones, and other auditory stimulation.
  • Ability to repeatedly twist, squat and stoop. Bending, lifting, moving heavy objects, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to discriminate color.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and, proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions.

Responsibilities

  • With little supervision, the Healthcare Tech Management (HTM) Imaging Service Engineer (ISE) can perform preventive maintenance (PM) or operational verification procedure (OVP) on 30% of the device types in Medical Imaging inventory.
  • Also, is able to repair 30% of the device types in Medical Imaging inventory unassisted.
  • Focuses performance to ensure the safest and best possible patient experience.
  • Delivers exceptional service to all customers that meets or exceeds all regulatory requirements and compliance.
  • Assists in developing and strengthening facility and vendor relationships.
  • Meets all established key performance indicator (KPI) requirements.
