About The Position

Cancer Specialists of North Florida is recruiting for an experienced Imaging Scheduler- External for our busy Baptist South Office. The Imaging Scheduler is responsible for scheduling and authorizing patient imaging tests in an efficient and timely manner. Answers and directs incoming calls to appropriate personnel. Serves as a liaison between the patient, imaging facility and medical staff. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

Demonstrates an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/corporation.
Monitors and completes incoming orders throughout the work day.
Documents patient accounts of any pertinent information relating to imaging testing and authorizations.
Answers incoming calls from patients and practices and responds to emails from practices.
Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally with patients, office personnel and providers.
Obtains previous studies for comparison which would include reports and disk images.
Must be willing to travel between practice locations as needed.
All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum one year of imaging scheduling and authorization experience in a medical setting.
