About The Position

The Imaging Patient Assistant facilitates patient flow by greeting patients and preparing them for their examination, acting as a chaperone, uploading images and performing other non-technologist functions when appropriate. Enters data into hospital information system, transports films within the hospital and transports patients, if necessary.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Medical setting experience desired.
• General knowledge of Radiology exams and/or anatomy desired.
• Must be able to carry, lift or push up to 30lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and prepare them for their examination.
• Act as a chaperone during examinations.
• Upload images and perform other non-technologist functions.
• Enter data into the hospital information system.
• Transport films within the hospital.
• Transport patients as necessary.
