About The Position

The Imaging IR Coordinator is responsible for the scheduling and coordination of pediatric and adult patients for all Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Lab outpatient & inpatient services and procedures. This position requires the ability to learn and retain a broad base of knowledge concerning all Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Lab examinations/procedures, make quick, independent decisions using good judgment, and coordinate the daily flow of the Interventional Radiology department, Cardiac Cath Lab, Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons, and ARNP’s.

Requirements

• Associates degree or certificate program in medical office related program preferred.
• Medical Terminology certification.
• Minimum one (1) year Interventional Radiology scheduling experience.
• Three years scheduling patients in a medical setting or Imaging Support experience.
• Minimum three (3) years experience working with EMR or RIS.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate patients for Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Lab services.
• Maintain a broad knowledge of Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Lab procedures.
• Make independent decisions regarding patient scheduling.
• Coordinate daily operations of the Interventional Radiology department and Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Collaborate with Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons, and ARNPs.
