About The Position

We are looking for a Imaging Informatics Administrator to join our full service lab team! What You'll Do: Responsible for the routine maintenance and daily housekeeping of the Radiology Information System (RIS), the Radiology and Cardiology Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) , the Fluency for Imaging System, the PET - Vitrea System, the Mirada System, the Radiology Processor System, Electronic Health Record (EHR) and any other systems deemed to be an integral part of the Imaging Informatics realm. Responsible for monitoring the aforementioned systems and their performance, reporting any issues or malfunctions and troubleshooting said systems as required to ensure optimal performance and ongoing reliability of these systems. Develops a full understanding of the imaging department and all relevant work flows as well as record management requirements including all local, state and federal laws governing image and record retention. Works to ensure duplicate and inaccurate information is identified and rectified in a timely manner. Reviews system release notes for all aforementioned systems to ensure information about upgrades is communicated to end users. Stays abreast of all newly released features/functionality in all assigned systems, communicates said new features to staff, provides education on the new features and coordinates the implementation of the required updates in order to take advantage of said new features/functionality. Works with radiologists and imaging department staff to implement new system modules and/or upgrades for all assigned systems. Works with all affected departments in the development and communication of downtime procedures. Participates in the provision of first line support during planned down time, malfunctions or outages of any of the assigned systems. Participates in the delivery of training on all assigned systems to all relevant clinical and non-clinical staff both within and outside of the Imaging department. Provides training and support in any system modifications and/or developments on any assigned system. Develops and provides user guides tailored to the needs of the different groups of users for all assigned systems. What You'll Bring/Requirements: Certification as Imaging Informatics Professional or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience; at least 3 years of experience as a Server Administrator or PACS Administrator with a focus on system integration.
