Requirements

• Education: Enrolled in a program to graduate with a minimum of an Associate of Applied Science in Radiology/Nuclear Medicine/Ultrasound Technology program.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

• Assists and performs in the optimum quality patient care by performing skills and procedures learned and demonstrated during the Imaging Technologist Extern orientation program and under the supervision of a licensed Technologist.
• Reviews existing clinical data, collects additional clinical data, and makes recommendations based on obtaining additional pertinent data.
• Assembles and checks all equipment used in providing patient care.
• Performs clinical and technical duties according to policy and procedures.
• Maintains patient records and communicates relevant information to members of the health care team.
• Demonstrates concern for patient welfare by performing activities other than primary care needs.
• Provides age-appropriate care to pediatric through geriatric patient population.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
