Under the guidance of the Sr Clinical Engineer and supervision of the Director of Clinical Engineering, this position performs a variety of routine and complex tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, and repair of a diverse range of typically non-life support imaging and imaging related clinical equipment involved in the treatment, care, diagnosis, and monitoring of patients. Hourly Pay Rate: $29.20 - $43.07

Requirements

  • Requires an Associate's degree in Electronics or Biomedical Equipment Technology; or must have a minimum of two (2) years of military training in clinical equipment or vocational training in electronics.
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible Imaging Engineer experience that demonstrates a strong understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety OR submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire.
  • Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date.
  • Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of imaging electronics troubleshooting both technically and clinically; and must have advanced knowledge of safety precautions applicable to the operation and maintenance of clinical equipment.
  • Must be able to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and illustrated parts drawings of biomedical instrumentation.
  • Must be able to coordinate complex projects and prioritize tasks.
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow both written and oral instructions' work under limited supervision, work as a team, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
  • Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer successful completion of the manufacturer's equipment training service schools in one of the following: MRI, CT, Linear Accelerators, or Nuclear Medicine.
  • CRES (Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist) certification by AAMI is preferred.
